Bangi Kopitiam, a new Coffee place at Medan that located at Cambridge City Square G-floor. The new Coffee place with it's specialty of coffee and Malaysia food.
The food was served in Asian heritage that so many people would like to craved for. Such as the noodles, nasi lemak, the Kopi-O and so on.
The design of the place also very neat, clean and by using broken white color that makes the place feels calm and quiet. Ahh, the lightning was good also.
Back to the food, I was ordering the Laksa, and my friends ordered two portion of the Nasi Lemak with the Rendang Chicken. Kind like very homie food to have.
I bet oldies will love to have a meal here, because easy to them to eat and easy to them to accept a kind of homie food house design.
Usually my grandma, didn't like to have meal at cafe or restaurant. As I see she loved to craved a traditional food only, so that I recommend my aunt to have or crave a meal here sometimes. :)
Ah.. they have dimsum also.

Sidewalk Oriental Cuisine
At Medan of course, the specialty food was the Sidewalk cuisine. Even there's so many food house, cafes, resto's open up nowadays, the power of the sidewalk cuisine never dies.
I ever craved a hybrid cuisine of Melayu and Tionghua-neese cooked. The noodles usually we called it "Mie Jawa" (Java Noodles).
The Tionghua people used this kind of noodles to cooked one dishes that called "Mie Keling" or even "Mie basah".
As I craved at "Ling Ce San" food house of stir-fry specialty, such as Kwetiau, mee-hoon, noodles and so on.
I ordered the different way cooked of the Java Noodles, a wet one and the fried one. The wet one was tasteless because of the amount of the water inside was tolerable, but still had the taste.
If you ordered the fried one, the taste was more perfect.
The using of the tomatoes makes the Java Noodles taste more perfect in a little touche of acid taste from the tomatoes, with cabbages and the chili also.
It cost us around idr 25k per portion.
This sidewalk cuisine of Java noodles was very famous since year 1950s until now. I still remember the first time I craved this when I was just eight years old and the seller was just a street food vendors, but the taste and the aroma of it's traditional wet java noodles still memorizing me.

Spageddies Italian Kitchen
Spageddies, the unique chosen name for a Italy Resto at Medan.
Spageddies name itself as I known was taken from the name of Spaghetti. Quiet nice name and easy to remember right?
As you all must know, Spageddies was the first place that opened here in Medan with their Specialty in Italian Kitchen, especially the Italian Pizza and the Italian Pasta of course.
Located at the center of town, with a medium capacity of parking lot. The design was edgy and contemporary style.
Ah.. It was nearly closed to Christmas, they also put some Christmas decoration, and of course the important one was the Christmas Tree. XD

Batam Famous Fish Soup
Here's my Culinary journey, and sorry for late posting it because still process in my review to make a perfect review for you my dear readers.
3 weeks ago I just spent my simple and very short holiday for just a refreshing because already stuck in my fully biggy jobs, as I mean a very many jobs to do... #LOLS
I went to Riau Province, I have friend there so that he took me around and as I ever read in Mr. Bondan Winarno Maknyuss book, the famous Fish Soup at Riau located at Nagoya Centre, the one that Mr. Bondan ever went was "Yong Kee Istimewa".
Actually it's just the same as Medan Food house, but their specialty was the Fish Soup.
The fish soup here was the hybrid from the Tionghuaneese, and the ingredients of the Fish Soup itself also so traditional Tionghua people usually used in cooking, such like Tongcai (the fermentation of "sawi pahit"), the green tomato, and so on.
The growth of fish soup during cooking new creations are the iconic Batam and Riau Islands. We also see a hybrid cuisine of Tionghua. It is very clear that the presence of Tongcai and mustard sauce in the soup is made fresh and fragrant stew.

Coffee Box-ing WIth An Old Friend
Welcoming my "long time no see" friend's, that just dropped at Medan for several days.
As we all are missed the home-made dishes, we went to Coffee Box, as for me.. 'again', #LOLS
So why not? I ordered a plate of eggs-martabak complete with the curry, a quite simple dishes and easy to make and light to craved. The point was from the compliment side, the curry itself.
The curry of Coffee Box was okay, not too thicky. Seems like I loved the curry more than the martabak. XD
Then some of my friends order the "nasi tim (steam rice)", and the fried rice.
For some snacks we ordered the potato chips with the homemade mayo, and as for me I loved the mayo so much
Ah.. because of welcoming the Christmas, everywhere along the Mall was decorated with Christmas Decoration..
Ahh.. it's fun and so wonderful

A Warm Homemade Snacks
As I reviewed and I researched, many creative teenagers nowadays selling food by online selling. They really using the function of gadgets that was very helpful to them.
As some of my friends selling the very homemade snacks called "Empek-Empek".
Empek-empek was the iconic food from Palembang. The story came from one uncle (tionghua said "Acek") that felt very pity of the wasted fish meat and he took it, cleaned it and make the rest of the meat with mixed of flour that became like fishball but in flat shape.
And the Acek sell it by carriage two baskets and called the Empek-empek "apek-apek" that time.
That's just some short story where the empek-empek came from, I also read the story from my Maknyuss Culinary book by Bondan Winarno.
My friends just gave me some compliment of it's Empek-empek and asked my help for simple review.
She delivered me Empek-empek Kapal Selam that have boiled egg inside and Empek-empek Lenjar that the shape like sausages.
The taste of it's Empek-empek already good, the sauce also already good, but maybe too much brown sugar inside. So she will improved the food she sell for.
Beside that she also delivered me some green-bean cakes.
And also the Risol, as for me the Risol was twi thumbs up. :)
For order, you can email me or call the seller "Melissa (Phone +6281360936205).
