Penang Culinary Hunting Part III

The next day, 23 Oct 2013 still at Penang.
I woke up at 8 a.m Penang time, and it's 7 a.m at Medan.

Because still tired of yesterday all day long out and activities, so we just being lazy for a while and I played my gadget and posted my culinary food photos to my instagram.
Follow me if you haven't follow my insta to know more about my hunting, Shilvia_Lie and thanks before XD

Here's I take shoots of Penang morning scenery from the Apartment we lived on 14th floor.
A beautiful view of the ocean and YES.. the wind was really fresh air from the ocean.
But it's kinda cloudy, so the sea was not as clear as seen in real.

After we took bath and prepared everything for going back hometown, we went to Gurney lower ground floor to searched breakfast.
First, my aunt would like to have breakfast at 600cc, unfortunately "closed already".

So we changed our next destination to have breakfast at Chicken Rice Chop.
The specialty here was Hainam Chicken Rice(10.9 rm), so I ordered that but with the roasted chicken and my aunt ordered the Mee with Sweet Pork (11.0 rm).
Mee with Sweet Pork was kinda seem like "Mie Pansit" that usually Medan people loved to have for their breakfast.

For the dessert we ordered "Rujak Penang" that cost 10 rm. And for the drink, we just ordered hot tea and shared together.

Seems like we're taking too many bags. LOLS

After we have breakfast, we directly went to Adventis Hospital, my aunt have appointment for little medical checkup.
A long way to Hospital, I enjoy the scenery of the sea, actually I dunno what to call it, Harbor or Sea???
Ahh... whatever... at least I enjoyed it.

At Hospital I met 2 little kids that was came from Arab, they're really cute.
The boy was 4 years old and the girl was 9 years old.
They're really cute, chubby and funny.
They played with us when we were waiting for our turn to see the Doctor.

And after finished all the things we done at Hospital, we have no idea where to go anymore, so just back directly to the airport and have chitchat there just two of us.
We have really fun chitchat on our short traveling.

At Airport we just crave KFC for our way back to Medan.
See you again Penang...
My next trip that I'll be hunting was Thailand-Bangkok (4D3N).
When???? Still secret.. :) ASAP.. I'll go there

See youuuu Penang... I hope I can arrange more longer time for hunting more food at Malaysia.
Join me readers?? XD

Good Luck :)

Penang Culinary Hunting Part II

Continuing with my travel and also my Culinary hunting at Penang..
Me and my Aunty lived in an apartment that located beside the Gurney Plaza that we just walked through the Gurney Park and we can go through the Anjung Penang Walk.

Usually we call Anjung Penang Walk in hokkien is "Huana-kak".
At Anjung Penang Walk, we can see many tourists and people of Penang itself love to eat here, because it's located near to the ocean as we called Pie Harbour.

Before we went to Anjung Penang walk, me and my aunty take a break to go round the Mall and shopping, it's always habit of women.. "shopping".
I don't dare to said that I don't like shopping, but I loved to shopping, sometimes me also need see my purse condition.. sobs*, #LOLS

And yes.. we went to the Fresh market at lower ground of the Plaza..
We bought some snacks for our lite breakfast for next day.
Their market was arranged very neatly and I love to go there even just for go round and round XD

After we paid to the cashier and then we directly went to the Anjung Penang Walk, ahh.. FYI Malaysia was very straight of not using any plastic or plastic bag, they will charged us for using any plastics.
So they was very supporting of prevent the global warming. GREAT.!

We went to Anjung Penang walk, along when we walked, I was very happy to feel the wind gust from the ocean, it was really comfy and relaxing our tiredness of walking all day.

We choose to sat near the fruit stall, the uncle of the fruit stall not only sell fruits but also the juices.
Their juices was originally fresh and nice.
I ordered the guava juice and my aunty ordered the Thai coconut iced, it cost us Rm 7.80 for two juices that we ordered.

And my aunty said, If you eat here, you must eat "Char Kwe Tiaw", so that she ordered one for eat together.
Then after we ordered the Char Kwe Tiaw, I was in a willingness of having some snacks, and we ordered some roasted snacks like Fish sticky ball, pork bacon and soon.
Per stick cost Rm 2.50

Here's some view of Anjung Penang walk situation, it was crowded of many tourists and also Penang people also..
I've met a lot of Korean Tourist, feel kinda of weird because I didn't understand every word they said. LOLS

Winds blew so calm and food was excellent for the beautiful night that I enjoyed.

Last before we went back to apartment and take rest, we went through the Gurney Plaza, along our way to Apartment, we saw the arts creation from rice paddy made by art students there.
I mean the art creation was finish already so people who hanging around there can take a look an the Art creation.

Here is it, and I also put a pic of the meaning of the Art they made.
What a beautiful art and so colorful. how creative they are.

The art was made by "Melvin Arlegui" from Equator-Academy of art.

Beautiful isn't it?
Their performance was really neat that make everyone wanna stop by to see and learn what is that.

The art named "Richness of The Land", that quotes :
A time bloom and harvest that reminds us how we can be in life.
Blessings is given without asking.
Kindness is given without seeking.
Love is given without forcing.
Being human is human when we are in our outmost kindness.

Let's us continue to my last day of culinary hunting at Penang
Good Luck :)

Penang Culinary Hunting Part 1

Holla guys, I've just came back 2 days ago from Penang, Malaysia.
Actually I just accompany my beloved aunty for medical checkup there, but I don't miss out the culinary things.
I always want to hunt for Malaysia Culinary, especially Penang and Melaka.

But this time just have a short and simple time for visiting Penang.
Let me arrange another time for hunting another culinary, not only in Indonesia, my lovely hometown Medan, but also hoping that I really have a big chance to taste the foods all around the world.
Amen... :)

Join me? XD

It's just a short journey, Me and my aunty just went Penang for 2 days.
First of first, here's some photos of our Medan new Airport (inside waiting room to the flight gate), named Kualanamu International Airport (KNIA).

Before we flight to Penang, we waited around 1 hour so that me and my aunty sat a while at "Q-Talk Fresh Tea and Juice" near the flight gate 1-3. I ordered the Caramel milk tea that cost me idr 35k and my aunty ordered Mango Yakult that cost idr 28k.

The caramel milk tea was good enough to help me fulfill my stomach before we take flight. The taste was sweet with some nyummy fat from the caramel, and Mango yakult?
Yeah, the taste was so freshy with some sweet and sour taste that came out from the mango and the strong taste of fermentation milk from the Yakult.

After that, the time was 2 pm sharp and the flight operator already spoke out to the passengers for check into the plane, and we took Airasia for our flight to Malaysia.

----------------------

We arrived Penang on 3 pm (Malaysia time), and then from airport we directly went to Gurney Plaza for grabbed lunch, it was a late lunch actually.
Look... how beautiful sunny day at Penang. :)

We drop to "Max Gourment", their specialty was Chinese Food, Dimsum and the Juices.
We ordered the Spicy Tom-yam seafood fried rice, fried turnip, Hongkong wonton soup, creamy steam bun and dragonfruit smoothies with mango.
The current price here was around rm 8.90 - rm 35.00 according to that your order.

The favorite one for me was the Creamy steam-bun, it's just usual bun but with a creamy sauce that made from egg and milk that already been blend together. The taste was a little sweet, and have a rough texture from the eggs when the cream melt into my mouth.
The second favorite was the wonton soup, the wonton was shrimp wonton with a clear vegetable soup that made the taste became simple taste and delicious.
But unfortunately... their chili was not spicy..... *sobs :(

That's the first part of my culinary hunting at Penang..

Will be continue to my second part..
Hope you all enjoyed my sharing of my first post of my Penang Culinary Hunting.

I will post the next one A.S.A.P

Good Luck :)
