Thailand Travel and Foodhunting Diary Part III

Day 2 - 15 Mar 2014

Actually on this "Day", we planned for Huahin trip, sadly the bus all rented out, so we changed the plan directly.
First thing first, we booked ticket for Madame Tussaud self-tour (600 baht) and for Calypso Show (800 baht). As for me, buying ticket for the Madame Tussaud tour was not a problem, because I can see the arts of the statue they made, but for Calypso???

Gosh they were Lady-Boy guys, and for just seeing the Lady-boy I must paid 800baht? If we count in IDR it was around IDR 288k. Mariani then told me, "just watch it, it is your 1st time here". Then I just go with the flow.... #moneygone

Okay dear readers, for this part I'll tell you about the Jatujak Market first.
After the booking session finished, we headed to Jatujak Market. It was a traitional market that consists of about 1000 booths there, Amazing!

We took ride by ART, same like Monorail at Kuala Lumpur. Jatujak Market was located at Mo Chit, it was the last place at the railway map. 1 person cost 32 baht per one way.

The photos inside the ART was kinda blur, because I stand with no hanging on wall so I swing and swang here and there, LOLS.

After arrived Jatujak Traditional Market and you can saw the pink flowers that I didn't even know what kind of flowers was that, I think it was a cherry blossoms, maybe? You can feel the beauty of the Jatujak Park from the above. It was really beautiful from up here, and voila here's the photos :)

And yes "traffic jam", a real crowded here near Jatujak Market, same like Medan too, Hahahaha....
Even Jatujak Market was very crowded and too many booths here, but I gave 2 thumbs up for the cleanliness.

There were some awesome booths that catched my eyes and then I snapped it.

Interesting isn't it? The booths was unique, from the aroma theraphy booth, fashion, decoration and still many uniquely booths design there.

After went around half place of the market, we dropped a while for taking a rest with "Thai Coconut Ice Cream (35baht)".
All I just can say about this ice cream was delicious and fresh! The coconut flavor was very pronounced with using the coconut shell as the bowl with grated coconut, it was just a perfect ice cream. Nyum!

After craved the ice cream, we went around again till feel very tired and hungry. You know, hard to found out place to have our late lunch, ahh too many booths selling the goods, clothes, accessories and so on.

Really hard to found just a simple place to have lunch and all of us also can't stand on the very hot weather anymore, but luckily a small street cafe appeared. #lols

Not wasting any time for thinking, we rushly went to the street cafe and directly ordered the foods and drinks, with ice of course, it's too hot, really!

We ordered the Chicken Chop (70baht) and Pork Chop (80baht). My friend said that, if we went to Thailand, Pork Chop is a must try.
Maybe of street cafe then the quality of the Pork and Chicken was below standard, but because of the hungry-ness condition, we just ate that all not till 10 minutes.

(My friends take a pose because they knew I shot a photo of the place, Lols)
 (Pork Chop)
 (Chicken Chop)
(Apple tea and Green tea)

Mostly the Pork and Chicken looks same, you can differentiate them when you cut the meat. The tea they served was quiet good, the fruit and the tea aroma was pronounced.
Sadly I can't read Thai so I don't know the name of the street cafe.

Next trip after back to hotel was Madame Tussaud and Calypso Show, to be continue.....
Wait for my next Thailand Travel and Foodhunting diary day 2 on Part IV my dearest readers.
Thanks for being my faithful followers and readers, you just keep me get better and better.

Good luck and have a good food everybody #culinarypassiongirl
Au revoir.....
