Welcoming the Guest Barista "Aji Darius" to Medan

"Mr.Aji introduced basic of espresso"

My passion for this culinary world was a biggest achivement of mine. Thanks god for guiding me to the right passion that I choosed.
Talking about my passion, what a great opportunity that I got around 3 weeks ago.
I received an invitation to Pilastro asked me for joining the event that they arranged. What a big surprised too that the runner up of IBC-13 "Aji Darius" attended that event. Without any doubt I replied A.S.A.P - "YES"!

The first day of meeting (29 July 2014) was the introduction to Espresso from Aji Darius himself. From this introduction I gained new knowledge about coffee, how to keep our beans to be still fresh, how to made a good espresso/latte and so on.
Frankly speaking, I was very excited and listened to what Aji told us in serious way.
Even I can't play with the espresso machine but at least I know the theory how to operate it.

Some foodblogger also been invited for the first day introduction, that are makanmana.net , William Iskandar with some coffee-lovers such as William Rusli and others.
On this introduction session, Mr.Aji was only teached us all about the espresso base so he will serve only espresso base on the D-day.

After the Introduction session finished then we go directly to the practice from Aji himself. Watching him made the latte were so cool, then I told to myself "Oh..that's how a professional barista made a latte".
Tadaa... a cup of latte for me made by Aji.
Tasted almost no bitter, a very mild taste of sweet from the milk and you can drink it directly because the hot tempt just around 40 degrees.

The D-Day (Event) 30 July 2014

Let me share how the event on the D-day. The event was only available from 1 -5 pm only.
Firstly I was not sure that the event will run well. Some of you maybe will ask "what am I doing on the D-day?"
Exactly I was in charge of being more closely to some customers that came that day and introduced them for order the coffee that made by Aji Darius.

Mostly the usual customers of Medan people didn't know who is Aji Darius and what special about the coffee he made, that's why we introduced to them.
But my knowledge still so so, then I introduced to some friends that I invited that day and shared to them what I knew about the sharing/introduction session that I got.

"Aji Darius preparation before the customers came"

"Crowded customers when the event just started around 1 hours"

"Spotted the lensakuliner.com team on action of shooting the latte they ordered"

"Still crowded on the second to the third hours of the event - It's a Full House baby"

"Our Coffee-lovers "Mr.William Rusli" showed and shared the Manual Brewing - Single Origins to some of his friends and customers"

I became more excited when I saw more and more people walked into the Cafe.
I thought that it will not run well, but what a surprise!

I will not miss out the coffee that made by Aji. So I ordered the flat white or been called 'magic' by Aji.
What the differences between Latte and Flat-white?
Latte and flat white differences was on the foam, latte contains more foam than flat white, so that flat white contains very thin foam.

And how about magic that made by Aji?
In a cup of magic that made by Aji used double ristretto and contains a very thin foam.

Once again, thanks a lot for invited me to this event and introduced me to Mr.Aji Darius.
He was such a kind man and a very professional barista.
Thanks to Pilastro and the team that still support me for the coffee knowledge that I never known before.
